A Royal Golden Anniversary Surprise Under the Stars in Jaipur
When the Mehra family secretly reached out to plan their parents' 50th wedding anniversary, our culinary and cultural team organized an authentic royal Rajasthani celebration.
Celebrating half a century of love is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone. Three weeks before their visit, the Mehra siblings called our front desk wanting to surprise their elderly parents with an evening that captured the regal heritage of Rajputana.
As the sun began to dip behind the Nahargarh hills casting a golden hue over our sandstone jharokhas, Mr. and Mrs. Mehra stepped into the central courtyard. They were welcomed by traditional Nagada drummers, Shehnai melodies, and a gentle rose petal shower from the carved balcony above.
Our executive chef prepared a royal 7-course Thali featuring slow-cooked Dal Baati Churma, tender Laal Maas in clay pots, and saffron Ghewar, served by candlelight next to our illuminated fountain.
"Walking into the courtyard felt like stepping back in time into a royal court. The warmth and attention to detail from the Heritage Haveli team brought tears of joy to our eyes." — Vikram Mehra

Restoring 200-Year-Old Shekhawati Frescoes: Our Preservation Journey
Discover how 6 master artisans from Mandawa spent half a year restoring our haveli's original mineral pigment wall murals using ancient lime-plaster methods.
When travelers gaze up at the intricate archways of Heritage Haveli, they often ask about the vivid turquoise, vermilion, and gold murals adorning our walls. These are authentic 19th-century frescoes created using natural mineral pigments derived from lapis lazuli, crushed seashells, and iron oxide.
Last year, we undertook an ambitious 6-month conservation project. Rather than using modern synthetic paints, we brought in master artisans whose families have practiced the ancient Araish lime-plaster burnishing technique for four generations.
Today, every corridor and suite reflects living Rajasthani history. When you stay with us, you are sleeping surrounded by museum-grade heritage that has witnessed two centuries of royal history.
